Kaili's position is funded by the Garrett Lee Smith Suicide Prevention Grant and is dedicated to reducing the stigma around mental health.  Initiatives include different mental health trainings, suicide prevention training, and substance use awareness and prevention efforts. Kaili studied psychology in her undergrad, at UNI. Prior to her current position, Kaili worked as an advocate in victim services and permanent housing caseworker at a local non-profit. A role as a counselor in the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships here at UNI, led her to fall in love with student affairs and helping students achieve their educational, personal, and professional goals. Therefore, she is currently finishing up her last semester in the Master of Postsecondary Education: Student Affairs program.

Kaili is the cat mom of Peeta & Mr. Darcy. She enjoys reading so much, she has a hefty goal of completing 200 books in 2023, and is certain she can achieve it!
