Flu vaccines are still available for UNI students and employees. Please call the Student Health Clinic at (319)273-2009 option 2 to schedule an appointment.

The Student Health Center will be closed from December 20th at 4:30 p.m. until Monday, January 6th at 8:00 a.m.  Clinic staff will be available as of January 6th. Medical providers or counselors will not be available until January 17th. Check for medical or counseling services during this time.

Current Notifications

  • Blackhawk County Health Department is offering FREE STI testing at the Student Health Clinic on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Testing done at the health clinic by clinic staff outside of these times will have a cost associated with it.  For more information  or to schedule an appointment with Blackhawk County please call (319)291-2413.
  • During the academic year the Student Health Clinic offers appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00am to 3:40pm for allergy students.
  • The Student Health Clinic does not provide medical excuses to students.  There is a process that students should follow regarding how their attendance has influenced grades, assignments or tests.  This process will allow all parties the opportunity to communicate.
  • The Student Health Clinic offers travel consultations for students that are planning to study abroad.  Students will need to complete a request for travel consultation form and return to the health clinic at least 7 days prior to the travel consultation.  A registered nurse will review this form and students will be contacted by UNI email to schedule an appointment.  Travel consultation appointments cannot be made on the portal.
