Program Descriptions & Request

Student Wellness Services provides programs related to the top areas of need for student health wellness as indicated by the UNI National College Health Assessment such as stress management, mindfulness/relaxation, sleep, safer sex, alcohol and other drug education, and bystander intervention. A professional staff and/or trained graduate assistant will facilitate the program you request. To view program descriptions and request a program, see the options listed below. 

Requesting a Program

Programs geared towards college health and wellness top areas of interest are available upon request. We ask for a two-week advance notice of your program request, by completing the form on the right side of this page. Program facilitation is based on the availability of staff, graduate assistants, and student employees. To request mental health focused programs, please visit the Counseling Centers "Outreach, Training & Let's Talk" page. Such programs would include Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Training, A.S.K & V.A.R.: Skills for Supporting Those Struggling, Thriving Minds: Supporting your Mental Wellbeing, Men & Mental Health, Mental Health Ally Part 1 & 2, and The Art of Mindfulness.
